I am 29 years old… i can tell you that in my early 20s i was drinking my self to sleep… my life was crumbling around me and the only source of comfort was the people I'd see around me having a blast as i was drinking and getting carried into it. My mid 20s though… all that perception of happiness wore off. Diminishing returns and all… i was completely and utterly depressed. Didn't help that in all that, i was alone…. and all i ever tried to do that for, was to never feel alone.
And that's why i love this song in its entirety… because you suddenly get it. You arent the only one who dosen't have the guidebook to life
