How does this stack up with the Zoom U-24 or U-44?
The downside of the extra power it needs made me disappointed. What portable audio interface do you think is a better option (even it's bigger and more expensive) for a solo podcaster?
Cool little device with the right featureset and priced about right to be truly competitive in the budget field IMO. Too bad it doesn't do the one thing you wanted it for but I figure it's still a decent investment for the budget-minded and/or very space restricted creator. You just need to use it with a laptop or carry a power bank with you if you're using it on the go, which I agree is kind of a PITA.
only downside i see is there’s only one input so no stereo or separate mics for interviewer and interviewee. that really limits its use cases as a portable/remote interface. so not likely to replace portable recorders for that market. i’m not sure who the target user is for this
I think their strategy is the portability as the selling point because of the size but i dont think the price wasn't really justified. For that amount I might buy something else that does more.
The battery should have been a must have.
I expected so much more out of this device this is the first portable interface that I saw that i like that would make traveling easier and podcasting/content creation easier and because it's only limited to a computer it's not worth the price
Damn man. when i was born i only weighed a pound nine ounces at 24 weeks early. I wish i bought this or the cad interface instead of the audiobox NO. 😂
Can it be used with iPhone without external power? I know not but just in case.
Would this thing work with this audio chain? Sm7b-cloudlifter-dbx286-zoom interface-Pc recording to audacity with loopback on. Would this capture all pc audio and the mic in real time?
I love how smoll this is! Just bought it! Thanks for letting us know! 😀
please all americans, drop imperial system 😆
well, I use it with my IPad Air (4th gen) with usb-c power, works good, no need for external power 🙂
I'm really kicked about the switching option between music and streaming…..if that feature was there in the audience EVO 4 i wouldn't have looked elsewhere as i have an evo 4.
Need an interface for performing homee concerts on insta live / YouTube live…. The audio would be coming out of my Reaper DAW as well as a vocal input from my vocal processor.
There is another review saying that it needs the power cord only to get started, and then it runs fine on bus power. The AMS-24 does not need the initial power boost (and it also can use 2x AA batteries). Maybe Zoom can give a firmware tweak?
You say yours is ams 22 the u22 I read on Band H photo is the same or similar as you describe but takes batteries. So you can power all the ways you say but has a place for batteries. It last 5 hr on batteries.
Hello so is compatible with Samsung s22
Hey, I was having the same problem of it not working with my z fold 4, but when I plugged in both usb ports one to the phone and the other one to a power source, then unplugged the power source, it continued to power on no problem, weird because my zoom uac 232 works plugged in directly into my z fold without any external power source, thanks for making this content, not many videos on audio interfaces and phones in general
