Just before Masseduction was released, The New Yorker had this :
"There’d be times, in the following months, when I’d walk away from a conversation with Clark feeling like a character in a kung-fu movie who emerges from a sword skirmish apparently unscathed yet a moment later starts gushing blood or dropping limbs." He got into trouble with his question about the song Masseduction. Bowie and Prince had a baby! Eek!

I have seen how great guitarists like Vai or Satriani have wasted their careers making those terrible displays of technique when in reality the music is not about gymnastics but about feeling.
