  1. The mask is traditional. The Oja player is a herald…a messanger of the gods, so he shall be faceless. The Oja is a medium to communicate so traditionally you can not put a face to it….hence the masks on everybody in the video…its humility towards the gift of music

  2. This is spiritual whistles blown when wonder is happening, when some kind of people are on the way, for the kings of that time; not this 419 kings of today that live on for money telling lies. Native Drs use Oja too. The Oja dance is what they call Igbakwu for an occasion or celebration of the Yam festival.
May problem is the Europeans destroying Igbo customs they no longer keep their titles, was it not why Chinue Achebe said to the Europeans
'I hate your God' on YouTube.

  3. The guy in the background is saying "Kcee Limpopo.."

Limpopo is Kcee nickname. He got that from a song he did years back called Limpopo.. and it was a hit back then

  4. I was at a Nigerian restaurant and a group of guys were playing this song, but I was so scared to ask them what it's called. I came home and serached "Nigerian flute music" and I finally got to listen to it. The sad part about it is that I'm Nigerian ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  5. Love ur reaction on this bro too real.. im happy u love the flute thats the "oja" he is talking about.

Also kcee has another new oja hit maybe u check it out.

  6. The sound of this ancestral locally made flute connects the minds of all persons of igbo tribe especially men, where ever they are, it sends good vibes, positive energy, or unseen powers that can makes him do something hard and bring it to limelight .
