top 100 most recognizable songs of all-time

Unlike most of my top 100 videos, I did try to put this in order. I’ll probably change my mind about the order in a week from now, though. I only put songs from the past 100 years and I excluded Christmas songs and children’s songs because otherwise this video would be 90% classical music, Christmas songs and Baby Shark.

Copyright finally got around to the “original” so I remade the video. The original could still get unblocked at any moment as this video was:
I expected the list be very different but it mostly ended up being the same in a different order and a few new songs.

I don’t really like making “recognizable” videos anymore because some people take them way too seriously when it just started as some random list I thought would be fun to make one day.

I’ll put some honorable mentions here when I’m less lazy.

  1. Might just be me but I've had never heard of these songs:
    Vogue
    Mr. Brightside,
    Like a Virgin
    Call Me
    Purple Rain
    Welcome to the Jungle
    House of the Rising Sun
    Good Vibrations
    California Love
I Want to Hold Your Hand
    Let It Be
    Respect

  2. We will rock you should be number 1! I dont know a song more recognizable than that. Dont stop me now and radio gaga should be on the list too. Quite a few very well known rock songs missing like its my life, highway to hell, thunderstruck, paradise city, africa, american woman, born in the usa, born to be wild, enter sandman, here i go again, how you remind me, iron man, paranoid, money for nothing, sultans of swing, my sharona, black betty, poison, wind of change, smoke on the water, should i stay or should i go, summer of 69, you give love a bad name…

  3. A good list that didn't get too heavy in one particular genre. The only song that I could think of that I would add would be Mr. Blue Sky by Electric Light Orchestra.

  4. Nothing from the 50 plus year career of Elton John? One of the best selling artists of all time!? There were a couple of songs on the list that I have never, ever heard before.

  5. Sorry but this is plop. Firstly, who are the judges deciding this? Secondly, how were the songs to be judged selected and by whom? Thirdly, this site is very misleading and should be removed.
