MY SON'S SPECIAL SCHOOL

MY SON'S SPECIAL SCHOOL

When my son was first diagnosed on the autism spectrum the first thing I thought about was what his future would be like and what could I do to prepare him for a future where he grow and be successful, a school for children with autism opened in Abu Dhabi and it is changing my son’s life, here is the story.

This is the longest video we have published to date and it took a very emotional toll on both Adnan and I, we wanted to work our hardest to ensure that this story was told in the best way we know how and would make Abdullah proud, I believe we achieved that and it would not have been possible without the incredible work of Adnan, please join me in giving him a big thank you.

I also want to give a big thank you to Her Excellency Sara Musallam Chairperson of the Department of Education And Knowledge and the Priory School team her team who spearheaded the project and worked tirelessly to bring this school to life, you are showing the world what is possible for these children with the right people and resources in their lives, I am so proud of you all.

I also want to give a special thanks to Ms. Fatima Al Hosani, Al Karamah School social worker and Ms. Lucy Wood, Principal of Al Karamah School, who have interviewed Abdullah and worked with him since Day 1 on his transition to the school, your love and support means the world to us.

Much love to all the incredible teachers and therapists who work together to give our children the best education and the best hope of a future filled with success and happiness inshAllah.
