Nonso Amadi – Lock Up ft. Zinoleesky (Video)

The official music video for Nonso Amadi and Zinoleesky’s most recent single, “Lock Up,” is now available.

The Afro-pop song “Lock Up” is one I wrote back in 2018. One of my most upbeat songs is probably this one. At a music festival in the Benin Republic, I ran into Zinoleesky’s manager and gave her the song to hear.

A few months later, Zinoleesky drops his verse, and the video captures me dancing along. Compared to most of my other songs, the song’s actual theme is much more gritty. Lock Up means “Shut up” in slang used in Nigeria. In order to tell a girl that I like her and am willing to reprimand anyone who stands in the way of a relationship, I am acting strong.

The song “Lock Up,” which Nonso Amadi and P.Priime produced, is from Nonso’s upcoming album, “When It Blooms,” which will be released soon.

Joe Penny, who works for uaxstudio, directed the video.

Quotable Lyrics:

Baby girl feel my melody
Dey make I dey think am gan
This kind love wey you give me
Abi na miracle ye pa
Her name na Miracle ye pa
Top of the pinnacle ye pa

Fine fine girl from the east side
Her name na Miracle ye pa
Abi na miracle ye pa
Top of the pinnacle ye pa

But tell your guy make e lock up o
Lock up o, lock up, lock up o
E no go nice if you fuck up o
Fuck up o, fuck up, fuck up o
So tell your guy make e lock up o
Lock up o, lock up, lock up o
E no go nice if you fuck up o
Fuck up o, fuck up, fuck up o
