The video was perfect for the storytelling. If you understand the lyrics, it makes the shift in Rema’s emotion and the video more impactful. You hit the nail on the head: it’s about police brutality, the corruption, and the normalization of all these societal ills. He is asking are you there? Are you noticing what’s happening? He reminds Nigerians that we still should enjoy life and not take everything seriously, so we can maintain our sanity and survive. The wealthy spot is supposed to represent the corrupt politicians squandering our money. The ending tune during the police raid is an intro to the track Divine 😉

Very powerful message. It's a call to the Nigerian youth to rise and fight corruption, oppression and police brutality unleashed upon them for years by those in power. He shows the political elite having fun, squandering stolen funds and living large, unsympathetic to the suffering of the masses and the escalating insecurity crisis. i.e the bomb blasts.
The cry to arise, like the song, is intense and emotional cos enough is enough! Nigerians must wake up and fight!
