I have to address one thing, most times when foreigners hear Nigerian music, they try to relate it to "hawaiian guitar", "it has this island vibe", "it has this latino music vibe to it", most times you're not aware that this is upsetting because from our other genres of music, Afrobeat borrows and collects… It's the ignorance for me.
