Sean O’Malley proved all the doubters wrong Saturday at TD Garden when he flattened Aljamain Sterling and captured the UFC bantamweight title at UFC 292.
In the UFC 292 main event, O’Malley (17-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC) face-planted Sterling (23-4 MMA, 15-4 UFC) with a single blow – and then continued his attack until the TKO stoppage at 0:51 or Round 2.

I'm far from an expert but reckon the stoppage was either early or late, seemed like ref let sean pummel him right up until aljo tried to get up then he called it off
Looking at the big right hand counter that dropped Aljo, Aljo saw it coming when he missed Sean. He actually closed his eyes and tensed up before the big right landed.
