Thanks for always talking about the elephant in the room. The size of these and competitors like RayBan integrate so well as compared to the vision pro. I probably should not be so focused on that point but man its hard for me to get past.

I always watch your videos on these HUD things and it still just feels like an early adopter kinda thing. Like they’re products waiting for one more leap in commodity display tech before prime time.
People are just getting excited about XR because of Apple like as if they are the "market leader". That's what happened when you're too blinded with a brand and not look outside.
Wonder if your earliest videos had your "when are gonna get out of idiot land, you dumbo?" sorts of expressions, like the ones I've been seeing in those in the past year or so.
AR has come a long way
I wish there was a micro led ar glasses with the resolution of 3840 x 2160 for each eye for the glasses. Have features like the goovis smart glasses since goovis has a headphone jack on the headset and android tv built into remote so I can connect my sennheiser hd 600 the marble version to the headset with 0 latency audio, have an optional usb c port that supports audio pass thru and charging a smartphone for connecting a portable hifi dac like the thx onyx or the woo audio tube mini portable tube amp to use with wired headphones from the usb c port. I thought about connecting my sennheiser hd 600 headphones to a pair of smart glasses from the headphone jack with a pair of smart glasses that has a headphone jack and use a usb c port to charge my phone at the same time. The pimax portal has vr glasses with 4k 144 hz qled mini led display with the downside of having no headphone jack on the pimax portal running the full version of android on the handheld gaming device.
Is these glasses usable for productivity works? I'm interested in such glasses, however my use case is much more limited. I don't watch movie or playing games alot. I'd like to use it for office work: editing texts/documents.
Now we need to find android device ( can be with good battery) with one side USB c to provide with energy and video output and other side with power input.
I'm glad that the tcl ray neo smart glasses have micro led to get rid of burn in oled display issues and finally 1,000 nits even on a pair of smart glasses. The micro led and 1,000 nits are something that I been finally looking for in pair of smart glasses and tcl delivers. I would definitely get the tcl ray neo smart glasses since my sony xperia 1 iv already have burn in issues like every device that I use with an oled display and so I can watch 4k youtube videos and 4k movies that I ripped from the discs that I saved to my micro sd cards. I can use vlc to watch my 4k movies since my movies are all in the iso format bit perfect copy of the 4k discs with hdr and surround sound all from the tcl smart glasses while using the headphone jack from my phone. I can even use my backbone controller connected to my phone with the tcl smart glasses to play call of duty mobile or even steam link.
For reading music, I almost pulled the trigger on xreal beam until I found that I can't get it in Denmark (at a reasonable price) So in the meantime for the same price, I got a fully speced used surface book 2 15 inch (in portrait mode on music stand at 3 feet)
Eventually I'll get something like the xreal, or maybe this.
Being able to move the headset's screen off center can allow me to look at the action on stage or the conductor through the center of the lenses. (It will also make it look like I'm looking in the right direction since people won't be able to see my eyes.) But I digress…
I don't have an expectation that it will totally work, but it could work as a backup, I could also avoid bringing a tablet and tablet stand. A phone, plus xreal beam (or equivalent) could be enough if I got it to work solidly.
When I saw this was by TCL, I thought that maybe this could get released in Europe before the xreal, but as of yet it looks unavailable here.

Would love to see a comparison video showing off the different products you have tried. I have been looking into buying a pair of XR glasses as I travel a lot and like to game and have no idea which one would be more suitable.
Great video! Definitely learned a lot from this. Would love to see what solutions are available for devices that don't support display out via their USB-C port
Very much interested in a future run down of both more connection options (especially considering the TCL doesn't seem to currently have an alternative to the Beam and Rokids solution) and all the current contenders in the market. Said it before, still hoping you'll get your hand on some Vitures and the new Xreal Air 2 Pro which seem like a minor, but still interesting upgrade over the first gen. Seeing as the first gen XReals now support higher refresh rates, I'd like to see your take on that too.
Lastly, anything that covers a full productivity workflow end-to-end (connected laptop, software, traveling with the setup and keeping those cabels out of the way), perhaps with an additional focus on reading large amounts of type (for coding, writers, etc) rather than video editing (though I know and understand, that that's more your style) would be a boon to say the least.
Also, this is a repeat of the LG V60 for me. I want to buy it, really, I do. But they don't offer these in my country (or anywhere in the EEC for that matter)…
As someone who gets all this, i still very much want a much bigger fov, even spacetop has a bigger fov and it still needs to be bigger.
A round up with all the existing glasses would be dope.
