Is there any benefit in these high end players if You're just listening to your average MP3 over a cheap MP3 player

Interesting. When I got my Hiby it just through me straight into android with no internet. It didn't force me to log into Google or anything. That was optional.

What IEMs do you use?
funny thing: if you set display size to small (imho still perfectly readable), you can't slide down the screen lock note and therefore the "I agree" button down there stays disabled and there's nothing to do to continue except setting the display size to large again
I bought one and returned it same day. For those who use streaming services it is absolute junk. Laggy, hot, slow, and you can't save streaming music to the SD card. The cool tape deck screen saver only works on the sony app and not streaming services. Audio was laggy playing through a Bluetooth speaker.
