Is any law be broken when you use Hillsong music in your church? Do we break US law or something?
If you're getting any kind of spiritual advice about anything to do with anything christian from mainstream media then idk after you said that magic CNN word.
Is there a Penacostal church that goes by just the KJV Bible, and doesnt play hillsong, bethel, and elevation?
I kind of blamed myself for things going wrong at my church. I was married to the wrong person, he was at my church, and he was married before to an Australian. So there was hillsong. My ex told me that an older au couple said that hillsong was in occult. Which I saw a video about them, and recently saw some of the documentary, and I just cried. 😭 I couldnt handle anymore.
Married or not I still love my ex. I have the deep love and compassion for him.
I would blame myself for marrying him and felt like I led everyone astray. But people know where I stand now. Im worried about myself somtimes, my salvation. I repent a lot, even when I have bad, some severe thoughts like against God. But I cant give up!!! Im not a threat to myself or others. Please pray for my dad, sister, her boyfriend, my beautiful neice, my other niece, and nephew. I feel like since i met my ex that and let him in my life and others, that I caused a lot of problems, for everyone I know. I feel like its my duty to keep everyone safe.

Your not wrong Spencer, l left the Bethel church 4 years ago after the real holy spirit delivered me from the foul deception of Bethel. 4 years on so few people even care about the truth of God and his word. It is Satanic

You and I are definitely on the same page. We left our church much to do with the music. When we told people at the church, they thought we were mean and critical. Other people stay at the church but only go to Sunday School. The music is wrong, and it breaks my heart to see compromise in the name of soothing others.
Sadly this songs are making their way into the Mennonite churches. I was shocked to get a Mennonite CD had a Hillsong "worship" song.
I wish our church didn't have this music.😭

There are those who believe in decreeing and declaring. I know this is wrong teaching but regardless of what I say they still buy into it.

I was interested in attending Liberty University and was watching some of their worship videos but I wasn't sure if it was bethel or hillsong songs….do you know if they are apart of the southern Baptist convention and if so do they follow new age philosophy

I contend that you can't just put frosting on a cowpie and call it a cupcake. Just because somebody calls something Christian does not mean He approved it.
The standard for music for most Christians is whether it gave them all the feels and they experienced something. My concern is that gullible young believers are going to end up watching Furtick or Johnson because, after all, their own church approves that music.
Decided to leave my church after 35 years on this issue. Left friends behind. But when you find yourself not wanting to go to church you might cone to the conclusion its because its been turn into watered down church lite ,all about the musicians.
