  1. Thanks for the mix input, at last! However, that tacky, blue-tinted mono, none-touch screen is really cheap-skating. You can get a better screen on a $70 cell phone. Note that almost all demonstrations of DGXs concentrate on pianos. That's because the sustained sounds like woodwind and brass, and guitars, are not very impressive and not editable. A pity as in other respects this could have been a decent machine.

  2. Great piano, good sound .. but if you need to play fast repetitive notes on the same key the key has to almost come fully up before it will repeat .. it's worse than an old barn dance upright acoustic when it comes to that …the keys are very heavy to play too heavy for my liking..Come on Yamaha this is advertised as being a portable Grand !!! It is hard to perform soft renditions ..My Korg B1 had way better sound and key action .

  3. so how come you idiots never puton the usual chart on this piano for the drum kits so we would know what keys to hit for the drum sounds id like an anwer to this and a fix as well i have owned many yamaha pianos over the years and all of them that had drum kits had the charts on the keyboard so i would know what keys to hit for crash ride kick and so on ,, this one has no chart i love the keyboard but this one thing was a bit screw up on your part that needs a soloution expecially to the owers like me of this keyboard..

  4. ok mr yamaha does this dgx 660 have an octave piano option in the styles option like the ypt 255 still this a great piece of equipment and am getting one soon as soon as i get my reply regards and tanx

  5. I am surprised reviewers do not make more of a big deal about the fact that you simply transfer your recording onto a pen/stick which provides a PERFECT recording for you to download onto your PC and simply burn to disc. No expensive microphones or soundproofed recording studios are required. You can play your recording on any CD player and it sounds like a truly professional recording . This instrument is astonishing value for money.
